SALEM – Two Lynn brothers police say they caught with weapons and drugs last month on Summer Street have been indicted by an Essex County grand jury.Junior W. Charles, 28, and Steeven V. Charles, 23, both of 51 Arlington St., face charges of possession of ammunition, carrying a firearm without a license and carrying a loaded firearm.Steeven Charles also was charged with trafficking over 14 grams of cocaine and a felon in possession of a firearm, allowing for a more severe punishment.Police stopped them on Summer Street for a motor vehicle offense on the night of Feb. 8.Police found a loaded .25 caliber semi-automatic firearm in the vehicle.Neither brother had a license to carry firearms.Also during a “pat frisk” police found approximately 24 grams of cocaine inside Steeven Charles’ pocket.Assistant District Attorney Michael Sheehan is prosecuting the case for the commonwealth.
