LYNN – Police have made one arrest for an armed robbery that occurred inside a Broadway home on Friday.Stephen N. Stallings, 23, of 604 Essex St. #309, Lynn, was arraigned on a single charge of armed robbery Monday in Lynn District Court, where a judge ordered him held without bail.Police say Stallings and another man, who is still on the loose, burst into 240 Broadway with handguns and robbed a 24-year-old man shortly after 5 p.m. Friday. The victim’s 3-year-old son witnessed the incident.Nearly $7,000 of cash and personal items were stolen from the home, police said.According to police, the victim said he was expecting a friend to come over as he was feeding supper to his young son. He heard a knock at the door and answered it, allowing one of the suspects inside, police said. The victim turned for a moment to help his son and when he turned back around there was a handgun pointed in his face, according to police.Even though the victim said he knew the suspect, he would not tell police his name, police said. After the first suspect subdued the victim, a second man allegedly burst inside with nylon covering his face.”This is what we do to eat around here,” one of the suspects allegedly said. “Put the kid in a room. Where’s the money?”The suspects allegedly made off with thousands of dollars in cash, jewelry, a laptop computer, a paintball gun, a cell phone and a Play Station.Police say the crooks left the area on foot, going up Euclid Avenue onto Claremont Street where they got into a four-door, midsized Ford.Stallings also has an open court case for possession of heroin after police allegedly witnessed him conduct a drug deal at the Tedeschi’s on Lewis Street on May 9, 2007. He was initially charged with distribution of heroin but the charge was reduced.Stallings is due back in court Tuesday, April 8 for a dangerousness hearing.
