LYNN – Police made a second arrest Monday in the November armed robbery and beating of a Bennett Street auto mechanic.Jasman B. Inoa, 26, of 28 Lowell St. #2, Lynn, was arrested and charged with armed robbery. His brother Larry Inoa, 21, was arrested in November on the same charge.On the morning of Nov. 8, one brother allegedly went to the repair shop at 84 Bennett St. to pick up his mother’s Chevy Impala.The mech-anic told him the repairs would cost $1,000 and the suspect got angry and left, police said.The suspect returned a short time later with his brother. Larry allegedly took a baseball bat and began striking the victim as Jasman threatened him with a handgun.The brothers allegedly stole $3,020 from the victim’s pockets and retrieved their mother’s car.Lynn District Court Judge Michael Lauranzano ordered Jasman Inoa released from his Tuesday’s arraignment on $25,000 personal surety, meaning Inoa was released without bail, but if he violates the terms of his release he must pay the court $25,000.He’s due back in court May 5.
