Sacred Heart to raffle painting at annual golf tourney

LYNN – The eighth annual Sacred Heart School Golf Classic will feature a unique raffle item this year, an original oil painting of the Gannon Golf Course’s 14th hole by North Shore artist George Martin.The winner of the 16 x 20 oil on linen painting will not be chosen at the May 12 golf event, as the school is instead waiting until its End of School Liturgy on May 17 to choose a winner.Tickets for the raffle are $10, or three for $25.The Sacred Heart School Golf Classic will take place at Gannon on May 12 with registration beginning at 9 a.m. Individuals and foursomes are welcome for the shotgun format tournament at $135 per player.The event is limited to 144 players on a fist come-first served basis.Participants will have a chance to win a variety of prizes, including a 2008 Lexus if someone achieves a hole in one.All proceeds from the golf tournament and raffle will go to the Sacred Heart School.For more information contact the Sacred Heart School Alumni Development Office at 781-595-2593.
