LYNN – A Billerica man was arrested Tuesday for breaking into an Andrew Street insurance company as the owner was working late, police said.Generoso H. Freda, 53, of 317 Boston Road, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering at night and malicious destruction of property over $250 shortly after 3 a.m.Police were called to Jenis Insurance, 13 Andrew St., after the owner was working in a back room and heard loud banging, as if someone were trying to break into the building, police said.Officers observed a large plate glass window smashed while Freda was allegedly standing inside the building.Police said Freda appeared drunk and holding a black pipe with blood covering his hand. Police also found blood outside the building.Nothing was stolen.Lynn District Court Judge Stacey Fortes-White ordered Freda held on $1,000 cash bail at his arraignment Tuesday. He was ordered back to court May 6 for a probable cause hearing.
