WAKEFIELD-Representatives from 11 communities are invited to a May 18 regional breakfast meeting held by the Democratic Party.Titled “Serving High School Seniors to Senior Citizens,” the Sunday event will feature brief presentations by U.S. Rep. John F. Tierney and Massachusetts Secretary of Elder Affairs Michael Festa.Tierney is expected to speak on education from a national perspective while Fest talks about state initiatives aimed at senior citizens.Betsy Sheeran, chairwoman of the Wakefield Democratic Town Committee, said the regional gathering will be held at the West Side Social Club, 4 Harrington Court, from 8-11 a.m.Democratic Party members and town officials from Lynn, Lynnfield, Malden, Melrose, Reading, North Reading, Saugus, Stoneham, Wakefield, Winchester and Woburn have been invited, Sheeran said.Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door. Tables of 10 can be reserved in advance, no later than May 7.
