Marblehead art event to be held May 3

MARBLEHEAD – Talk a little ? shop a little ? give to a good cause.That’s the motto of the Spring Fling Block Party, an art vendor shopping event Saturday, May 3, from noon-6 p.m. at Concetta’s Gallery, Crossing Main and Babe.Spring is in the air as local artisans debut their latest collections and colors for the season.Stained glass artist Michelle Champitto of Fresh Cut Glass will present her unique line of martini infusion jars and a colorful selection of stained glass window panels and sun catchers.Jewelry Designer Laura Hobbs of Ellora Janes launches her new spring collection of 14k gold fill, 23k gold vermeil, and sterling silver with a wide array of semi-precious stones.Marblehead Artist Concetta Donovan of Concetta’s Gallery will display oil paintings of local harbors and seascapes.Fashion Purveyor Lynne Shanoski of Hendra Rose, Boston, debuts the latest resort collections from Pür Cashmere, Tamara Handbags, Gifts of Wit, and Fashion Lobstah.All proceeds of the stores’ luxury raffle ($500 retail value) will be donated to Merry Mixers to benefit North Shore Children’s Hospital.Contributors include Boston College Dining Services, Foodies Feast Café & Catering, Spinale & Company Hair Design, LuxeBeautiQue, Flores Mantilla, and Tamara Handbags.
