SWAMPSCOTT – Four individuals were arrested in town early Tuesday morning for larceny over $250 and possession of burglary tools.According to Detective Sgt. Tim Cassidy, a resident called police at approximately 3 a.m. when he noticed the suspects jacking up a motor vehicle and stealing the tires.Sgt. Jay Locke and Officer Thomas Hennessey stopped the motor vehicle in question on Burpee Road. Police found a stolen tire and a large array of burglary tools in the vehicle. Officer David Skomurski assisted in the arrest of a 16-year-old juvenile from Revere, and the three adults.Rathanak Pok, 20, 14 Arlington St., Lynn; Denny Toro, 18, 152 Bloomingdale St., Chelsea; Cristyan Valladares, 17, 89 Congress Ave., Chelsea and the juvenile were all charged with larceny over $250 and possession of burglary tools.They all pleaded innocent before Judge Albert Conlon in Lynn District Court and were released on personal recognizance, but ordered to stay away from the alleged victim. They were also given a bail warning, so if they get in any further legal trouble while the case is pending, they could be held without bail for up to 60 days. They return to court on June 5 for a pre-trial hearing.Cassidy said tips called in by residents who see suspicious activity are invaluable.”We’d like to thank the resident who saw this and called it in,” he said. “These types of tips are what we need to solve these cases.”
