PEABODY – A Lynn man is facing an attempted murder charge after he allegedly beat his girlfriend inside her Peabody home and stole her car on Sunday, police said.A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Miguel Nivar, 24, of 95 Union St. #301, Lynn. The charges against him are attempted murder, domestic assault and battery, assault and battery, larceny of a motor vehicle, threatening to commit murder and two counts of intimidation of a witness.Police were called to the victim’s Sherman Street home shortly after 5:30 a.m. Sunday.Police spokesman Lt. Dennis Bonaiuto said Nivar grabbed his girlfriend and “struck her several times with his fists [and] continued striking her violently.”Nivar allegedly stole the woman’s 1994 Toyota Camry, which was found a short time later on Rockaway Street in Lynn.As of Monday afternoon, Nivar was still at large.(Due to a miscommunication, the Item incorrectly reported that Nivar was arrested in Monday’s police log.)
