LYNN – A Lynn teenager was ordered held on $2,500 cash bail Monday following a frightening accident on Hood Street involving a stolen car that left two teens in the hospital.Joshua L. McGeoghegan, 17, of 10 Deer Park, was arrested at about 4 a.m. Sunday and charged with receiving a stolen vehicle, unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, reckless operation and speeding.Police say McGeoghegan was traveling approximately 50 mph in a 20 mph-zone on Hood Street when the stolen Ford Expedition struck a parked car and flipped over at about 2:15 a.m.McGeoghan allegedly told his two passengers that the car was stolen and ran away.Those passengers, Stacey Gridley, 16 and Stephanie Barilone, 15, both of Lynn, were rushed to area hospitals once police arrived.McGeoghegan turned himself into police about two hours later with his mother by his side.Before he was given his Miranda rights, he allegedly told police: “I was on Cottage Street when you guys were looking for me on Hood Street. I was laughing ’cause I had my police scanner on me and you guys weren’t even close.”
