SAUGUS – Police were searching for suspects Tuesday after an armed robbery involving a handgun was committed at Lincoln Market on Lincoln Street shortly after 5:30 p.m.A white male showed a handgun before fleeing the store at the corner Ballard Street and jumping into a white 2001 Toyota Carolla, according to initial police reports.A getaway driver was allegedly waiting for the suspect when he jumped in.A witness obtained the license plate number of the vehicle, which is registered to a Revere woman, according to police.The car was last seen driving on Ballard Street toward Route 107, police said. The suspect was allegedly wearing a white bandana over his face during the robbery.
