SWAMPSCOTT – A substitute teacher and assistant track coach at Swampscott High School was terminated but officials are remaining mum on the reason for his dismissal.Athletic Director Frank Kowalski confirmed Eric Bosworth, who is a 2005 graduate of Swampscott High and a student at Merrimack College, is no longer coaching track or employed at the high school.?It’s an unfortunate situation,” he said. “He is no longer coaching but I can’t say anything more at this time because there is an ongoing police investigation.”When asked about Bosworth’s alleged improper conduct with a juvenile female student Police Chief Ronald Madigan declined to comment on specific allegations.?We’re aware that an allegation was made,” he said. “In the course of her duties the School Resource Officer (Rose Cheever) was apprised of the situation. Based on the information we have at this time there is no reason to believe that it warrants further police investigation.”Bosworth participated in indoor and outdoor track all four years at Swampscott High and was captain of both his senior year. He was the Northeastern Conference Champion in 2004 in the discus and received the Philip L. Heffernan Scholarship in 2005.
