MARBLEHEAD-The Finance Committee has three new members, including the son of a former FinCom member.Moses Grader, the son of former Finance Committee member ‘Bud’ Grader and the nephew of former selectman Dwight ‘Buck’ Grader, was named to a three-year seat on the committee Wednesday night.Named to two-year seats were Lisa Louden and Eric Cole.All three were interviewed Wednesday evening. Grader dodged questions about his noted relatives and told selectmen he is a former Marine Corps captain, attended Harvard Business School and is pursuing a career in venture capital. He said his business has grown to the point where he can volunteer.Asked how he would resolve decisions about allocating the town’s stretched finances, Grader said, "I will listen very carefully."Louden is also a Marblehead native. She is a data base manger at State Street Bank, supervising a team of five and coaches youth soccer in town. One of her first jobs was with the town park and recreation department.Needham native Eric Cole said he grew up in "an air of volunteerism" and Marblehead "feels like home, a place I love to be." His business experience includes 20 years with Fidelity Investments, and he has helped to raise money for local programs.All three will meet with Town Administrator Tony Sasso to discuss town finances before they begin.On the first round of voting Grader received votes from Selectmen James Nye, Harry Christensen and Jackie Belf-Becker. Louden was supported by Selectmen William Woodfin and Judy Jacobi.The second round was unanimous for Louden and the third was unanimous for Cole.
