Would you like a gourmet sandwich with that?LYNN – Next time you pick up your prescription at Willow Laboratories, Medical Center and Pharmacy Services on Union Street you might be tempted to try a Cranberry Walnut Chicken salad wrap or a Black Forest Ham, cheddar and caramelized onion gourmet sandwich thanks to the new Willow Deli and Food Mart which has opened at the same location.Craig Strasnick, who works in sales and marketing for Willow Laboratories, said the decision was made to open the deli to meet a demand for gourmet sandwiches.?Our owner, Brian Strasnick, wanted to cater to local businesses,” said Craig Strasnick. “There aren?t many gourmet sandwich shops in the area and this is also a great place for executives to hold business meetings.”Sandwich prices range from $4 to $6, salads start at $3 and a bagel with cream cheese is $1.50.According to Strasnick, the deli prides itself on quality meats and an upscale, clean atmosphere.?Our deli is very clean and high scale,” said Strasnick. “We cater to local businesses by allowing them the ability to send in orders via fax and email.”In addition to the standard menu items, Strasnick points out that the deli offers a variety of daily specials which include steak sandwiches and lobster.Willow Deli and Food Mart opened last year but a grand opening celebration will be held on a date to be announced later this month.Willow Deli and Food Mart is located at 276 Union St. and offers eat-in, take-out and catering services. The delicatessen is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with breakfast fare served between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.Craig Strasnick said the deli has been well received by customers.?From the comments we have heard, no one has disliked it,” he said.
