Lynn toddler falls from second-story window

LYNN – A child was hospitalized Tuesday after she fell 20 feet from a second-floor apartment window on Hood Street, police said.A neighbor identified the victim as Ana Lopez, 4, of 48 Hood St.Officers at the scene were shocked the child’s injuries were not life threatening. There was practically no blood found, and police said it appeared the girl used her hand to break her fall. However, she did suffer a head injury and the full extent of her injuries was unavailable as of press time.Police said the girl fell from a kitchen window after leaning against a screen.Tony Aguilar, a next-door neighbor, saw the girl in the window and tried to yell outside to the parents moments before she fell.”(My son) told me, ‘Daddy, a baby is in the window and it’s open!'” Aguilar said. “A couple of seconds later, she came down.”
