Robbery leads to car chase, crash

REVERE – An armed robbery led to a wild scene in Mahoney Circle on Tuesday night after the suspects slammed into two cars while being chased by police.The suspect’s Nissan Pathfinder SUV apparently drove toward the traffic circle from Route 16 before crashing into two cars. Three suspects allegedly ran from the vehicle near the Dunkin’ Donuts at the corner of Shirley Avenue.Two of the suspects were arrested after an intense few minutes and there was word that a third suspect was on the loose shortly after the 8:30 p.m. accident.The names of the suspects were not available Tuesday night, but police said they would be charged with armed robbery while masked, among other charges.The incident allegedly began after the suspects wore masks to commit a robbery at knifepoint on Revere Beach Parkway near Hillside Avenue.
