LYNN – One of two alleged drunken, unlicensed drivers arrested Sunday was handcuffed after police found him passed out behind the wheel while stopped in the middle of an intersection, police said.Teodoro Nolasco, 26, of 45 Henry Ave., was arrested after police found him asleep with his foot on the brake in the middle of Hollingsworth and Cook streets shortly after 8:30 p.m.Police said two open Corona beer bottles were found in the front seat of Nolasco’s Nissan Maxima while two more empty bottles were found in the back seat.Officers said Nolasco was so drunk that three officers needed to assist him out of his vehicle. Officers asked Nolasco if he could perform field sobriety tests but he “could not comprehend any response,” a police report said.In addition to being charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, Nolasco was charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle and drinking alcohol inside a vehicle. In a separate drunken driving incident, Joel Ramirez, 21, of 47 Chestnut St., Lynn, was arrested during a traffic stop outside 417 Chestnut St. around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.According to police, officers observed Ramirez’ car cross over the double yellow line twice before they pulled him over.Ramirez was “very unsteady” on his feet while standing outside his vehicle, police said.Despite the fact that an officer told Ramirez to stay near the vehicle, he allegedly said, “No problem, it’s OK” and began walking toward an officer.Another person in the car also disobeyed police orders and was stumbling into traffic when police handcuffed him. He was placed into protective custody.Ramirez was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, unlicensed operation of a vehicle and failing to stay in the right lane.Lynn District Court judges released both defendants on personal recognizance during their arraignments on Monday.
