REVERE – Police were called to two suspicious incidents involving a firearm in the past week at Wendy’s on Furlong Drive, according to police reports.Around 12:30 a.m. Monday, an employee of the fast food restaurant near Target called police after observing a man with an object that appeared to be a gun tucked in the waistband of his pants while riding a bicycle.”She was particularly concerned given that it was near closing time,” Police Capt. Michael Murphy said of the caller. On Thursday around 11:20 p.m., police were called to the same location on a report of a man with a firearm. In this case, police said a customer got into a dispute with a cashier at the take-out window and flashed a handgun in anger.Several witnesses said two Hispanic males inside a silver Honda were involved in the dispute, police said.Murphy said the manager got involved to try to diffuse the dispute when the suspect lifted up his shirt to reveal a handgun tucked into his waistband. The suspect was in his 20s, wearing a bright green T-shirt and matching baseball cap, had hair on his chin and a Puerto Rican national flag on his right forearm.Police haven’t said the cases are connected.
