LYNN – The Lynn police department’s Special Investigation Unit was on a pro-active patrol Wednesday when officers arrested two people for dealing Klonopin pills in a Lewis Street parking lot.Haridon Duvli, 21, of 21 Fiske Ave., Lynn, was arrested and charged with distribution of a class C drug, possession of a class C drug with intent to distribute and a drug violation in a school zone shortly before 10 p.m.Officers were conducting surveillance outside Rite-Aid at 165 Lewis St. because police said this is a “high crime area” where police “receive numerous calls for all types of crimes including crimes of violence and drug activity,” according to a police report.Police said the first clue that a drug transaction was about to take place was that Jamie Lewis, 37, of 501 Washington St., Lynn, was sitting in the passenger seat and Lewis is a “known drug user,” according to police. As police watched, Duvli allegedly got out of his vehicle and walked toward a Lexus in the parking lot to conduct a drug transaction.Police approached Duvli as he walked back to his vehicle. An officer conducted a pat frisk and allegedly confiscated a sandwich bag full of Klonopin pills.Lewis allegedly hopped in the driver’s seat and began to drive away when an officer stopped him in the parking lot. Police said he tossed a pill bottle in the back seat that contained Klonopin.Lewis was also arrested and charged with possession of a class C drug.
