LYNN – Kids in Lynn can get an early start on college preparation thanks to North Shore Community College’s Kids to College program.The program, for kids between the ages of 5 and 14, allows students to take a variety of interactive courses at the college’s Lynn and Danvers campuses.Course selections include everything from animal science to babysitting certification and even include a course on the history of baseball. Students interested in art can take cartooning and clay animation classes, while others can explore acting classes or culinary courses.The Kids to College program is one of three programs for non-college students offered this fall at NSCC, joining the North Shore Academy, for middle and high school kids aged 13-17 and the Parents to College program which offers courses for adults such as yoga, designing an online business and how to make money on Ebay.Kids and parents can take courses on Saturday mornings from Oct. 16 to Dec. 22, while the North Shore Academy runs on Saturday morning from Oct. 18 through Nov. 22.Tuition for all classes is $99 per course.For more information visit www.northshore.edu or call 978-236-1232.
