Peabody man on the run nabbed

PEABODY – A Peabody man was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge Monday inside his Caller Street apartment, police said.Danny Cerquira, 26, of 21 Caller St. #207, was arrested shortly after 10 p.m.Once inside, police identified Cerquira and determined he had an outstanding warrant from Portland, Maine.Authorities say Cerquira was indicted by a grand jury for check fraud and stole at least $4,000 in December 2005.Police responded after neighbors heard glass breaking against a wall and objects being thrown around, police said. One neighbor said Cerquira and a woman, later identified as his girlfriend, had been arguing all day, according to police.
