Arrest made in Warren Street shooting

LYNN – After an investigation by the Lynn Police Gang Unit an arrest has been made in connection to Monday’s double shooting on Warren Street.
Vannark Chourb, 18, was arrested today by Lynn Police and charged with two counts of armed assault with intent to murder, witness intimidation and various firearm related offenses. It is expected he will be arraigned in Lynn District court today.
At approximately 4:30 Monday afternoon Lynn Police responded to the area of 103 Warren St on a report of gunshots. On arrival, responding officers located two victims who had been shot.
According to a release by Lynn Police the first victim was a 16-year-old female from Lynn who was shot in the thigh. She was transported to Salem Hospital and later taken by helicopter to Boston Children’s Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
The second victim, also 16, was a male resident of Lynn who was shot in the left foot. He was taken to Union Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
