PEABODY – The four men arrested in connection with a large Oxycodone bust in which a gun was pulled on a police officer were arraigned Monday in Peabody District Court.Eric Hart, 47, the suspect who allegedly pulled a semi-automatic handgun on undercover Peabody detective Scott Richards, was ordered held without bail until a dangerousness hearing in court.Judge Robert Brennan ordered James Lee, 33, of Beverly, Hector O’Brien, 39, of Roxbury and Ronald Cairnie, 19, of Gorham, Maine all held on $100,000 cash bail each.Police said Hart had been living in room 74 of the Carriage House Motel on Route 1 when police began an undercover operation after they suspected a drug distribution ring was operating out of the room.On Friday night, Richards was making an undercover purchase of Oxycodone pills when Hart allegedly pointed a gun in the officer’s face. The officer managed to get away and other officers arrested the four suspects moments later.Police said 325 Oxycodone pills and several thousand dollars were recovered from the suspects.
