SAUGUS – Police are looking for the two men who allegedly trashed a Red Roof Inn hotel room and videotaped themselves doing it.Saugus Police Lt. Michael Annese said officers were called to the Route 1 hotel Saturday morning after a manager found the room absolutely trashed. The manager initially called the fire department after he noticed clouds of smoke around room 218 at about 3 a.m., police said.It turned out that the two inhabitants had maliciously sprayed a fire extinguisher all over the room, according to police. When police and the manager entered the room they found damage to a wooden door frame, toilet paper and spitballs all over the room, police said. Officers also found a digital camera.”They watched the video and it showed two white males in their 20s pouring a bucket of water on the bed and throwing wads of wet toilet paper on the walls and mirrors,” Annese said. The video also showed the men engaged in illegal drug activity, police said. The suspects had left the area before police arrived.Annese said the suspect stole a Wakefield woman’s driver’s license to obtain the room.No arrests have been made but Annese said police know who they’re looking for.
