LYNN – A well-known alleged gang member has been ordered held without bail for shooting two teenagers Monday on Warren Street in what is the latest episode of a long-standing gang feud.Vannark Chourb, 18, of 8 Minot St., Lynn, an alleged “Little Crip” gang member, pleaded innocent to two counts of armed assault with intent to murder, witness intimidation and several firearms charges.Police said he shot a 15-year-old Lynn girl and a 15-year-old boy Monday afternoon outside 103 Warren St. – a home described by police as a “Bloods” gang house. On Wednesday, Lynn District Court Judge Ellen Flatley ordered Chourb held without bail until a Sept. 30 dangerousness hearing.According to a police report, one of the residents of 103 Warren is scheduled to testify on Friday against Chourb’s 19-year-old brother, Buthchhay Chourb, in Salem Superior Court because Buthchhay is the suspect in a previous shooting.”103 Warren St. is a known Blood gang house which has been ‘shot up’ several times in the recent past,” a police report said. The residence was also the home to Bonrad Sok, the 17-year-old who was arrested for the Nov. 1, 2007 murder of Cristian Vargas-Martinez, an 18-year-old rival “Asian Street Walker” gang member affiliated with the Crips. The address was also the site of a non-fatal stabbing on Sept. 26, 2007 and a shooting five days earlier. On Sept. 27, 2007, police arrested three people outside 103 Warren for the non-fatal shooting of a teenager on Summer Street near Lynn Tech High School. Before Monday’s shooting, Chourb’s most recent brush with the law was his arrest for taking part in an April 26 shooting at 16 Pinkham St.Chourb and four other young men were arrested for firing a hail of bullets at the home while several people including rival gang members and young children were inside, police said.Chourb and the other suspects were arrested within minutes after a brief car chase, during which the driver crashed into an innocent motorist on Union Street after running a stop sign. Police found a firearm in the vehicle and another two firearms at the scene, according to police. The criminal case for the incident is currently pending in Salem Superior Court.Chourb was also arrested March 7 after he was behind the wheel and led officers on a car chase in the Lawton Avenue neighborhood. He crashed into a parked car and was later found hiding under a front porch.
