LYNN – The two Lynn teenagers arrested for their part in Tuesday’s shooting on Lawton Avenue were ordered held without bail at their arraignment Wednesday in Lynn District Court.Orlando Anabelle Guzman, 19, of 501 Washington St. #401 and Patrick T. Severino, 18, of 3 Chestnut St. #3, were arrested on a long list of charges, including attempted murder, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building and illegal firearms and ammunition possession.According to police, Officer John Vantour identified Guzman as the shooter after the officer witnessed the gunfire while responding to a report of a motor vehicle accident.Vantour reported that Guzman was standing in front of Jenny’s Convenience Store at the corner of Henry and Lawton when he saw Guzman fire three rounds at an Asian male then ran toward the victim and fired another two rounds. During the shooting, the 20-year-old victim was zig-zagging back and forth trying not to get hit.As the police officer drove closer, a white Acura Integra pulled up and Guzman jumped into the vehicle, police said.According to police, Vantour managed to drive behind the vehicle as it raced up Lawton, took a left onto Hamilton Avenue and a quick right onto Grover Street. The occupants jumped out of the moving vehicle and ran in two different directions. The car rolled off the road into a vacant lot.Police later found a silver handgun wedged in between the passenger’s seat and the center console, according to a police report.The suspects were arrested within minutes as police saturated the Highlands.Guzman was taken into custody behind a home on High Rock Street and Severino was arrested in a yard on Herbert Street.Police have previously identified Guzman as a member of the Soldiers gang who goes by the nickname “Gotti.” The Soldiers are aligned with the Bloods.Guzman was arrested in February for taking part in a gang “jump out” at the Cook Street Playground in November. Guzman and four other suspects allegedly beat a 20-year-old man for at least 30 seconds as part of a process for the victim to terminate his membership with the gang.Guzman and Severino are due back in court on Tuesday for a dangerousness hearing. Until then, they are held without bail at the Middleton House of Correction.
