SAUGUS – The man who was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman inside the troubled Tabu nightclub Sunday has been arraigned in Lynn District Court.Parkev Papazian, 26, of 10 Dartmouth St., Watertown, was charged with indecent assault and battery, assault and battery and disorderly conduct.According to a police report, the 23-year-old assault victim said she was waiting outside the men’s bathroom for her boyfriend, who was using the facility, when Papazian indecently touched her.She said Papazian walked by when he suddenly stuck his hand under her skirt and groped her vaginal area.The victim’s boyfriend then exited the bathroom and allegedly confronted Papazian.A fight broke out and Papazian allegedly took a swing at the victim’s boyfriend but missed, striking the woman in the face and knocking her to the ground instead.The victim said two or three unknown females struck her three more times, according to police.The victim somehow lost her engagement ring during the scuffle, police said.When police arrived at the Route 1 club at about 1:40 a.m., officers allegedly encountered Papazian being loud and boisterous with club bouncers. Police told him to quiet down but he allegedly wouldn’t.Papazian was arraigned Monday in court where Judge Stacey Fortes-White held him on $500 cash bail and ordered him to stay away from the alleged victim. He’s due back in court Nov. 19 for a pre-trial hearing.Town officials have said Tabu will be the subject of a show cause hearing at a Board of Selectmen’s meeting in the near future because the club has been the location of shootings, stabbings and large fights numerous times over the past few years.
