Boys Soccer: Tech breaks out, blasts Fellowship

The Tech boys soccer team defeated Fellowship, 7-3, Wednesday at Methuen with 11 different players figuring in the scoring.Tech led 5-0 at the half, which gave coach Fred Gallo an opportunity to utilize his bench.Klaus Alexis and Richard Jones-Alas each had a pair of goals. Freshman Jose Diaz and Gustavo Rodriguez had single goals and Cristian Pastor had a goal and an assist. Defenders Orlin Escalante and Elmer Vincente, Jonathan Herrera, Nush Weah Weah, Yerlin Guevara and Goran Susa also picked up assists.The Tigers (5-6-1) play at Chelsea Friday.St. Mary’s 3, Marian 0At Lynn, Alex Glover scored twice and Sean Borders had a goal to help the Spartans improve to 6-5-1. Glover has 10 goals and 15 assists. Steve DesFosses, Eric Donaghy and Peter Louvaris all had assists while John Moore and Mike Magsoudi anchored the defense.Fenwick 3, Williams 1At Braintree, Brandon Ballard scored the first two goals for the Crusaders and Doug Garabedian, who assisted on Ballard’s first goal, nailed a direct kick for the third. Fenwick (6-4) also got a boost from goalie Brian McConnell, who made a couple of big saves, including one off a head ball that was making a bee line for the upper corner, to preserve the win. The score was 2-1 at the time.Wilmington 3, Lynnfield 1At Wilmington, Lynnfield’s Matt Dillon scored on a free kick 10 minutes into the game, but the Wildcats retaliated with three unanswered goals to pull out the win.”We played very well,” Lynnfield coach Brent Munroe said. “This was our best game of the year ? It was much closer than the 3-1 score would indicate.”Andrew Leader was in net for the Pioneers (4-5-2).
