Trailing 2-0 late in the first half, Bishop Fenwick battled back to score the final two goals to earn a 2-2 tie Saturday in Danvers.Angelo Maida scored the first goal on an assist from Pablo Sosa, bringing the Crusaders within 2-1 at halftime.Sosa scored the equalizer about 14 minutes into the latter frame off a through ball from Brandon Ballard.Fenwick (6-4-1; 6-2-0 Catholic Central League) is at home against Cardinal Spellman Tuesday at 4 p.m.St. John’s Prep 1, Malden Catholic 0At Danvers, Zach Hathaway scored a goal off a free kick in the first half for the lone score of the game.Hathaway’s goal came 30 minutes into the contest.Steve Pasinski recorded his third consecutive shutout for the Eagles.St. John’s (5-4-1; 2-2-1 Catholic Conference) will be at Danvers today at 6:30 p.m.Gloucester 2, Malden 2At Malden, the two teams traded goals during the game for a 2-2 tie.Gloucester fell behind 1-0, but tied the score in the first half off a corner kick. Jeff Amero headed in a pass from Alex Trotsky for the goal.The Fishermen went down 2-1 early in the second half before Trotsky knotted the score late.Gloucester (2-5-6; 2-5-4 NEC) will host Masconomet today at 10 a.m.Martha’s Vineyard 3, Marblehead 0At Martha’s Vineyard, the Magicians couldn’t muster a goal against a tough opponent.Marblehead fell to 4-5-2 on the season with the loss.GIRLS SOCCERDracut 2, St. Mary’s 1At Dracut, Dracut scored late in the second half to take the victory.Amanda Webster scored the lone goal for St. Mary’s off a penalty kick in the second half before Dracut took the lead with 10 minutes left.St. Mary’s (8-4-2; 3-3-2 CCL) trailed 1-0 at halftime.Danvers 5, Andover 3At Danvers, Brittany Russo (3 G, A) and Corey Persson (2 G) combined to keep the Falcons undefeated.Becky Landers also had two assists for Danvers (12-0; 11-0 NEC).Danvers took a 3-1 lead into the half behind two scores from Russo and one from Persson. Andover got within 3-2 after the break, but Danvers scored the next two to seal the win.In other action, the game between Lynnfield and Marblehead was postponed until today at 10 a.m. in Marblehead due to a scheduling conflict.BOYS CROSS COUNTRYSt. John’s Prep finished third with 171 points in the Varsity D race at the Manhattan Invitational in New York City on Saturday.A.J. Rossi (13:21) was 21st, Mike Massy (13:37) was 36th, Brian Keiran (13:38) was 38th, Julian Gallo (13:40) was 39th and Tim Murtagh (13:55) was 52nd.Prep coach Ray Carey said about 250 athletes competed in the 2.5-mile race.GOLFSt. Mary’s 187, Marian 114At Lynn, the Spartans improved to 13-2 with the victory.Matt O’Hare, Kevin McCarthy, George Carey and Dan Lacroix all shot 38s. Anthony Cardillo (39), Jesse Powers (40) and Sean Desmond (41) rounded out the Spartan scorers.
