LYNN – A 17-year-old Lynn woman was arraigned for attempted murder Monday in what is the latest episode of violent crime involving teenagers.Lynn Vocational Technical Institute student Linda Sang, of 186 Williams Ave. #2, Lynn, was ordered held without bail until a dangerousness hearing is held Oct. 28 in Lynn District Court.Police say Sang stabbed Genesis Sabater, 17, of Lynn, five times after they got into a fight at the MBTA Garage on Market Street around 9:30 p.m. Friday.The victim told police she arranged to meet Sang at the parking garage to settle a dispute, police said. The two allegedly got into an argument that escalated and resulted in the stabbing as numerous friends of the young women looked on.One of the witnesses was only 14 years old, police said.According to a police report, Sang’s brother yelled, “Stab her! Stab her!” during the attack.Police say Sabater was stabbed in the left hip, left thigh, upper right buttock, left side and right shin. Her injuries are considered non- life threatening.Sabater was transported to the hospital after friends drove her away in a vehicle and later flagged down a police officer.Sang was arrested at her home about 1:30 a.m. Saturday.The stabbing comes on the heels of several violent crimes involving teenagers.Also on Friday night, a 16-year-old Lynn boy was shot near the corner of Western Avenue and Stanley Terrace. No arrests have been made in the case.On Oct. 8, a 14-year-old allegedly shot a 20-year-old Lynn man at the corner of Boston and Grove streets. The suspect is still at large.At about 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 22, two 15-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were shot on Warren Street. Two known gang members were arrested.
