REVERE – Two gunshot victims are in the hospital following a 2 a.m. shooting across from City Hall.
A police spokeman said, “We are not actively looking for a suspect.”
Police responded to multiple reports of gunshots at 10 Yeamans St. at the corner of Broadway. They enetered an open apartment at that adress, found it empty then found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest approximately a block a way on Reservoir Avenue.
Police delcined to identify the 40-year-old man who is listed in critical condition at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
A short time after finding the first shooting vivtim officials from Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett called Revere Police to report a second gunshot victim.
Revere Police Sgt. Jeffrey Langone said officers interviewed the 25-year-old man in the hospital but he refusued to answer any questions.
The second victim was shot in the back. At this time, his condition is unknown.
Police did not say if the two men lived in the aprtment on Yeamans Street but said they are investigating the shooting and interviewing witnesses.
Police have responded to the building in the past but declined to comment on whether the two individuals have a history with the department.
