November 13, 2008 by Thor Jourgensen

REVERE – Lincoln School teachers and other local residents who knew Lori Palladino are mourning the mother of three killed Wednesday in a Route 1 accident.A preliminary State Police investigation indicated Palladino, 47, lost control of the 2004 Mitsubishi she was driving at about 8:30 p.m. on Route 1 South near the Peabody-Danvers line. She struck a tree and was pronounced dead at the scene by the state Medical Examiner.Lincoln School Principal Ramona Reppucci knows the Palladino family well. Palladino’s sons, Christopher and Richard – now high schoolers – attended the school and her daughter, Alyssa, is a Lincoln fourth-grader.Reppucci called Lori Palladino “an active, involved parent.””She was always involved with her children,” Reppucci said, adding she last recalls speaking with Palladino in September when the Hauman Street resident came to Lincoln to pick up school work for Alyssa. This crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. The Peabody Police and Fire Departments, Danvers Police Department, Massachusetts Highway Department and the Medical Examiner’s Office assisted troopers at the scene.
