SAUGUS – A Revere woman allegedly went wild outside Tabu nightclub Saturday, punching and kicking other women and officers in the Route 1 parking lot and back at the police station, according to police.Frances Zion, 28, of 20 Cummings Ave., was arrested shortly after midnight and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery and disorderly conduct. After she allegedly resisted arrest in the parking lot, police said the drama continued at the police station where officers used pepper spray on Zion multiple times.Police said Zion flailed around so much she could not undergo routine booking procedures. Before the second round of pepper spray was used, police said Zion continually threw herself onto the cell room floor and banged her head against the door. The ordeal began when a Saugus police officer working a paid detail at Tabu said he intervened in a fight between Zion and two other women in the parking lot.Police said Zion was bleeding from either her nose or mouth when she was separated. The officer asked Zion to stay with a doorman until backup arrived, but a bleeding Zion allegedly approached the two other women and began yelling expletives against the officer’s orders to stop.Zion allegedly threw her hands in the air and challenged the women, saying, “Come on!”According to a police report, the officer said he asked Zion to stay back when she allegedly pushed him. He grabbed her by the arm and she allegedly began swearing and said, “Get your hands off me.”The officer managed to handcuff one wrist but Zion grabbed her shirt with the other hand and wouldn’t let go, police said. She then allegedly told the officer to, “Go (expletive) yourself.”The officer placed her on the ground at this point, but she allegedly kicked him three different times in the legs and hip, police said.Lynn District Court Judge Stacey Fortes-White ordered Zion at her Monday arraignment to stay away from the victims in the case. Zion is due back in court Jan. 8 for a pre-trial hearing.
