LYNN – Hundreds of Lynn families lined city roadways from Dearborn Avenue to Boston Street as the 22nd annual Lynn Santa Parade offered up a Christmas Eve spectacle to delight residents young and old Wednesday night.Click here to see a photo gallery from Wednesday’s Santa parade.The mechanized parade attracted hoards of decked out trucks in all shapes and sizes, police cruisers, motorcycles, fire trucks and ambulances, blaring holiday music and flashing lights to light up the evening sky.As always, children were left with the anticipation of another Christmas morning when Santa and Mrs. Claus passed through, tossing candy and donated toys from the passing parade floats.Organizers say this year’s event was tough to put together because of the tough economy, but in the end the event was a success as generous donors and volunteers from across the city pitched in to keep the tradition alive.
