LYNN – Police took three guns from the hands of alleged gang members Sunday just minutes after the suspects allegedly fled a fight involving 60 people that resulted in a stabbing outside 7-Eleven at 264 Essex St., police said.In two separate incidents this weekend, Lynn police arrested a total of five people for firearms violations and took four guns – two that were confirmed stolen – away from people with violent histories, police said.”The officers of the department continue to aggressively engage in efforts toward impacting violence, specifically gun violence,” Lynn police spokesman Lt. William Sharpe said.Officers were called to the large fight outside 7-Eleven at 1 a.m. Sunday. Witnesses told police a car containing a person holding a firearm had just fled the scene. The identity and condition of the stabbing victim was not available Monday.Patrolman Edward Pettipas later found the car driving on Lafayette Park. He followed the vehicle without activating lights or sirens until it parked on Wardwell Avenue. He confronted the occupants as they exited, police said. The occupants were identified as Travis Sanchez, 21 and Francis Wesley, 19, both of 15 Wardwell Ave., Lynn, Korey Dorsey, 19, of 7 Circuit Ave., Lynn and Jason Medrano, 21, of 27 Union Court #3, Lynn.According to a police report, Pettipas asked the four men if they had been at 7-Eleven but they denied it, saying they were at a house party.Police said their car was registered to Dorsey at his former Stephen Street address, where a kidnapping involving a firearm had occurred Nov. 28. Police added that Medrano is identified as a Deuce Boyz gang member who is on parole.Out of concern for safety, Pettipas called for back up and additional officers searched the suspects.During a pat frisk, an officer immediately discovered a loaded 9mm handgun in Sanchez’ pants, police said.None of the other suspects had weapons on their person but police said a large, loaded Smith and Wesson .357 magnum revolver was found stuffed under the front car seat and a loaded .45 caliber Colt handgun was later found in the trunk.Police said the 9 mm had its serial number partially defaced and turned out to be stolen. Each was charged multiple firearm violations but not with the stabbing.Police said Monday detectives are investigating whether the suspects were involved in a separate shooting at 81 Collins St. about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in which a group of people were fired upon but not injured. Three bullets found at the scene came from the same type of .45 caliber gun recovered from the suspects and three bullets were missing from that gun, police said. The suspects have not been charged with the shooting.Lynn District Court Judge Albert Conlon ordered all four suspects held without bail Monday pending a dangerousness hearing to be held Jan. 6.In the summer of 2007, the Lynn police department announced that 7-Eleven installed a video surveillance camera that provided a live, direct feed to the police station. It was later reported the camera system suffered technical problems. It’s unclear if the system was working the time of the fight.Police recovered the fourth gun mentioned after a separate incident on Dowfield Terrace shortly after 11 p.m. Friday.Jeff Raphael, 24, of 12 Dowfield Terrace, was arrested and charged with assault with a firearm, unlicensed possession of a firearm and other firearm charges, possession of cocaine and oxycodone with intent to distribute and malicious destruction of property.Raphael’s mother called police after he allegedly got into an argument with her while he was intoxicated the threatened her and his aunt with a handgun. The mother told police her son then exited the home and fired one round into the air, but police could not find a shell casing.Police later located Raphael with a woman outside Tedeschi’s on Boston Street and took him into custody at gunpoint.Police said the gun was loaded and turned out to be stolen. Judge Conlon ordered Raphael held without bail a
