LYNN – A robbery that occurred inside a Buffum Street bar Sunday night has caused police officials to take a closer look at the way the establishment conducts business.Raul Dellvillar, 41, of 80 Bridge St., Salem, was arrested and charged with unarmed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (bottle), possession of cocaine and disorderly conduct shortly before 11:30 p.m.Andrew Arias, 38, of 848 Western Ave., Lynn, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly yelling at officers who questioned Dellvillar.Police responded to Cesar’s Palace, at 39 Buffum St., after 43-year-old Wilson Pena of Lynn came to the police station to report he had just been robbed and assaulted inside the bar a few minutes earlier.Pena alleged Dellvillar reached into his back pocket and pulled out his wallet when he thought he wasn’t looking. Dellvillar allegedly took the cash from the wallet and threw it to the floor.According to police, Pena said he reached down to pick up the wallet when Dellvillar punched him in the face. Pena was then struck in the head with a beer bottle by an unknown person. After police responded and questioned Dellvillar, he allegedly ran away on foot, resulting in a foot chase with Officer Paul Wonoski, who tackled him on the sidewalk, police said.Dellvillar allegedly threw a folded dollar bill on the ground that contained cocaine during the chase.Police questioned a bar bouncer, identified in a police report as Authur Montgomery. Montgomery allegedly told police the fight occurred outside, but later denied ever saying that after police pointed to a bloody napkin found on the floor of the business.Approximately 25 to 50 patrons were at the bar when the fight broke out, police said.Police said the incident will be forwarded to the police department’s Special Investigations Unit, which handles liquor license complaints.
