LYNN – Maple Street resident Tom Judd continues to clean up the mess left behind after a Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed through the front of his house Tuesday and says he has questions that need answering.Judd, 51, of 305 Maple St., said he was sleeping about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday when the vehicle careened off the road at the beginning of a snowstorm, crashed through his front door, continued through his foyer and exited through a wall.”It almost knocked me out of bed,” said Judd, whose bedroom at the front of the home overlooks the accident scene. “There were no skid marks in the snow.”In an action that’s hard to explain, the driver, identified by police as Jeremy LeBlanc, 19, of 95 Tracy Ave., Lynn, was able to drive the Jeep away from the house.”I got out of bed, then I saw him driving down the street. He was gone,” Judd said. The story doesn’t end here. Judd said LeBlanc drove into the intersection of Chestnut Street where he got into another accident ? crashing into another building.LeBlanc allegedly crashed into the side of Harrington’s Trophy shop, breaking a window, which was still boarded up Friday night.”That’s where the airbags deployed (at the second accident scene). It wasn’t here,” Judd said. “I don’t know why.”According to a written statement from Lt. William Sharpe, a Lynn police spokesman, LeBlanc and an occupant were found by police at the intersection. Both were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.LeBlanc has been cited for leaving the scene of an accident, Sharpe said.Judd said he’s barely heard from police since the accident occurred. He suspects LeBlanc was under the influence of either drugs or alcohol and wonders if additional charges should be filed.”If they took him to the hospital, they should have taken blood tests on him,” Judd said. The fire department and city building inspector were called to the accident after the structural integrity of the house was questioned due to extensive damage. Judd said a temporary structural beam had to be installed in order for him to live in the house until final repairs are made.
