Not even Revere coach Jim Palumbo could have dreamed that his team would reach the halfway point of the season with just a single loss. But on Saturday at Cronin Rink in Revere, the Patriots did just that.A three-goal first period got Revere off and running, and thanks to 13 saves from Nick DiMare, the Patriots rolled to a 4-0 win over Saugus, improving to 6-1-3 and 6-1-1 in Northeastern Conference play.”I feel good about how we’re playing,” Palumbo said. “It’s been a lot of hard work, but we’re starting to see it turn around in how we’re playing the game.”The Patriots also have been led by senior defenseman Chris Mastropietro, who took over the conference’s scoring lead with a goal and two assists on Saturday, giving him 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) for the season.Mastropietro set up the first goal of the game, a tally by George Winer, at 7:15 before scoring himself 30 seconds later to make it 2-0, Patriots. Sean Dean’s unassisted goal at 11:46 of the first gave Revere a 3-0 lead.”I’m not quite sure which Saugus team that was (Saturday),” Saugus coach Chris Connors said. “And as a coach, I can assure you that that kind of effort won’t happen again.”After a scoreless second period, Dean found the mark for a second time in the game at 8:49 of the third, assisted by Mastropietro, to close the scoring.Danvers 4, Lynn 2At Connery Rink, Chris Kontos had a hat trick and D.J.
