LYNN – LynnArts is seeking proposals from artists interested in showcasing their work in one of the galleries at 25 Exchange St. in Central Square.Susan Halter, executive director of LynnArts, said proposals are now being accepted for group and solo shows.The community art center in the heart of the city houses three gallery spaces – the Time Warner Gallery, suitable for group exhibitions, measuring 27 by 40 feet with 14-feet tall ceilings, where one group show is hosted annually; the Willow Community Gallery, suitable for two-person, solo shows or installations, measuring 12 by 25 feet, with 12-feet tall ceilings, and available for five openings each year; and the Hartman Leigh Gallery for the Art of Children, measuring 19 by 15 feet, with 7.5-feet tall ceilings and specifically designed for schools and private art programs.All three spaces have standard-size door openings. Accepted artists are required to install their own show, produce show cards, and provide an opening reception, although no fee is charged for the space.LynnArts sends out press releases on all shows, but Halter strongly encourages artists to send their own promotional materials as well.”We accept proposals for all mediums and installations, though film and video artists must supply their own equipment,” Halter said.The deadline for proposals is March 1.
