REVERE – Revere police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect who used a handgun to rob a Beachmont convenience store of $900 cash last Thursday.According to police, the suspect brandished a handgun on Jan. 29 inside the Seven Day convenience store on Winthrop Avenue. The clerk began to comply with his demands when an unsuspecting woman interrupted the robbery by making a purchase.Police said the suspect acted calm and allowed the purchase to take place and hid the weapon. After she left the store, he took the gun back out and demanded money.The suspect initially placed items, including ice cream, on the store counter but told the clerk he left his money in the car. Police said he came back in the store with a gun and committed the robbery.He allegedly told the female clerk to fill up a bag with cash and made off with $900, police said.The suspect is described as a white male, 6-foot-2, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and a black scarf around his neck.
