LYNN – Friends of a recent Lynn homicide victim, including several alleged Crip gang members, were among the majority of a large house party broken up by all available city police units in Kings Lynne on Saturday, police said.Approximately 50 to 60 people were inside 4 Summerset Court when police responded to noise complaints about 1:05 a.m. and made two arrests. Every available Lynn police unit was called to quell the situation, police said. Several officers were pulled off of active calls to respond.According to a police report, a Gang Unit officer responded to the party and identified nearly all of the party goers as Crip gang members or associates.Steven Mai, 22, of 510 Western Ave. #2, Lynn, was arrested and charged with unlicensed possession of a firearm and ammunition and disorderly conduct. Police said he was in possession of an unlicensed .35 caliber handgun.William Blundell, 21, of 210 Washington St., Peabody, was arrested and charged with failing to disperse and disorderly conduct.Neighbors called police after at least one reported that a Latina girl, between 18 and 20 years old, was waving a handgun outside the party and had tucked it into her pants, according to a police report. When officers arrived they said Mai was wearing a sweatshirt with a memorial message to “Crip gang member” Tony Pich, the 21-year-old who was shot to death at 1 Olive St. on Nov. 11, 2008.As officers approached Mai he allegedly turned and threw his handgun into a bush but later claimed it was a bag of marijuana, police said.Mai was placed into custody without incident, but police said Blundell was found shouting profanities at police outside the apartment building as additional officers arrived.Police identified the resident of 4 Summerset Court as 24-year-old Natasha Cedano, who allegedly was uncooperative with police. Police said they were delayed in issuing a citation to Cedano because she would not provide her personal information and had to do so later.About the same time police tried to get into the apartment, they said people were yelling from inside statements such as, “If these pigs get in here they’re gonna get blasted.”It took over 30 minutes to get everyone to leave, police said.In a separate incident, Cedano was arrested about noon Sunday and charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle and speeding.Blundell and Mai are scheduled for arraignment today in Lynn District Court.
