LYNN – The resident of a North Federal Street apartment building was ordered held on $10,000 bail Tuesday following his weekend arrest for child rape, according to Lynn District Court documents.Tuan Nguyen, 49, of 30 North Federal St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with a single count of raping a child with force on Saturday.Lynn police arrested Nguyen, a Vietnam native, at Logan Airport after he got off an international flight at about 6 p.m. Police reports don’t say where he was coming from.Police say Nguyen raped a neighborhood girl on several occasions when she was between the ages of 9 and 11 years old. The victim is now 14 years old.The victim reported the abuse to someone at her school recently and an investigation began, according to police reports.Nguyen allegedly forced the girl to watch pornography before raping her on a few occasions. He had babysat the girl several times while her mother was at work and would assault her, according to police reports.According to court documents, Judge Albert Conlon presided over Nguyen’s arraignment and set the $10,000 bail. Nguyen is due back in court March 12 for a pre-trial hearing.
