SWAMPSCOTT – Thanks to a concerted effort by Swampscott, Lynn and Marblehead Police, an arrest was made Thursday in connection with a pair of breaks in Swampscott that occurred earlier this month.Following an investigation, a search warrant was executed at 80 Silsbee St. No. 311, Lynn and some stolen jewelry taken from two recent housebreaks in Swampscott was recovered.Swampscott Police and Lynn Police detectives conducted the search Thursday afternoon and Christopher Sullo, 36, was arrested by Marblehead Police at the hair salon he works at in Marblehead.According to Swampscott detectives, Sullo is responsible for housebreaks that occurred on Feb. 4 and Feb. 23 at the same residence on Humphrey Street in Swampscott.Swampscott Detective Sgt. Tim Cassidy said jewelry belonging to the victim was found in Sullo’s apartment. Cassidy said Lynn Police also recovered jewelry belonging to the victim at a pawn shop in Lynn and said police may have located additional jewelry belonging to the victim at a pawn shop in Everett.Cassidy said Sullo and the victim dated years ago.Sullo, a former Nahant resident, was charged with receiving stolen property of more than $250. Cassidy said the case remains under investigation and additional charges of receiving stolen property and two counts of breaking and entering are possible.During the search, Lynn Police officers Ralph Sirios and Mike Dimiglio charged Sullo’s girlfriend Gia Cervone, 24, with possession of a class B substance.
