LYNN – A call for a domestic violence dispute involving a handgun Saturday on Jackson Street led police to find a sizable amount of marijuana and crack cocaine, police said.David Muise, 21, of 63 Jackson St., Lynn, was arrested and ordered held without bail during his arraignment Monday in Lynn District Court pending a Thursday dangerousness hearing. His charges include assault and battery on a pregnant woman, possession of a firearm without a license, leaving an unattended firearm in a vehicle and possession of marijuana and crack cocaine with intent to distribute in a school zone (Marshall Middle School.)Tameisha Womack, 20, of 415 Cabot St., Beverly, was also arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (cell phone) and assault with a dangerous weapon (knife.)Police were called to Muise’s home at about 3 p.m. on a report of a fight between Muise and Womack that had spilled into the street. Both were interviewed and claimed the other person started the fight. Muise said Womack began hitting him during a heated argument and eventually threw a phone at Muise, causing a bruise on his cheek that police verified, according to police reports. However, Womack allegedly said Muise dragged her on the floor but she fought back. According to police, Womack said Muise choked her and pulled out a gun, prompting her to grab a knife. While questioning Muise, he allegedly told police he didn’t own a gun and invited police to search his home. They did and found two .32 caliber bullets, a “large bag” of marijuana along with a smaller bag of pot and four small bags of crack cocaine, police said.Police said they also noticed wet foot prints leading from Muise’s bedroom to a car parked in the driveway that was registered to a family member. A police officer obtained the key and was going to open the car door after suspecting Muise’s gun was hidden in the vehicle. According to a police report, the officer accidentally hit the button that opens the trunk and observed “a large quantity of suspected marijuana” with an odor that was “obvious.”Police opted to close the trunk and tow the car to the police station. Officers obtained a search warrant a few hours later in order to rummage the vehicle.Once the vehicle was searched, police said four Zip-Lock bags of marijuana were discovered in the trunk and a silver revolver was found in a hidden compartment. Police said Muise was not registered to carry a firearm.
