Peabody readies for annual spring concert

PEABODY – This year’s upcoming spring concert is sure to liven the spirits of Peabody residents. Taking the stage for the annual “Spring Fling” celebration is Jay Daly and his brass ensemble, New England Brass.Daly has performed twice before in Peabody and received much praise from audience members.”He charmed us with his own special brand of charisma and left us wanting more,” wrote Mary Bellevance of the Mayor’s Office in a press release. “We are thrilled to be able to present them to you for what is sure to be a memorable evening.”Vocalists Peter Adams and Presilah Nunez will be the night’s featured soloists. Nunez regularly performs with the North Shore Music Theater and does stints in New York and Georgia. Adams is a local favorite who has appeared many times before Peabody residents.The concert will be held at City Hall in the Wiggin Auditorium on Saturday, May 2. Doors open at 6:45 p.m., with dinner prepared by Vinwood Caterers following at 7 p.m. The concert itself will begin promptly at 8 p.m. Coffee and dessert will be served during intermission. A cash bar will also be available.Ticket prices are $25 for balcony seats, $40 for balcony table seats and $45 for orchestra table seats. Tickets are currently on sale and going fast.
