MARBLEHEAD – The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer a six-session boating safety course at Marblehead High School starting April 7.The course, entitled “About Boating Safety,” is for beginners and designed to impart the knowledge required to obtain a boating safety certificate.”It may even allow you to get a discount on your boating insurance,” said Gary Cordette, public affairs officer for Marblehead Flotilla FL43.A Massachusetts youth boating certificate is offered at no additional charge. The course topics include boating laws, safety equipment, navigation rules and boating problems.
