REVERE – The mother of a 7-year-old girl who was molested in Revere by John Canadyan expressed outrage at a parole judge Tuesday after it was revealed Canadyan’s electronic monitoring bracelet was not working for 88 days and he was able to roam free, according to multiple news reports.Canadyan, 55, formerly of 256 Bradstreet Ave., Revere, was convicted in October 2007 of indecent assault and battery on a child. He served 18 months in jail, was released in December and ordered to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet. However, Canadyan’s bracelet was unable to function inside the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Boston, where he was reportedly residing, and he did not wear the bracelet for 88 days. The mother of the victim, Rachel Falino of Peabody, expressed outrage toward the unidentified parole judge for not putting Canadyan back in jail for violating his parole. The judge ordered Canadyan to wear a new bracelet with rechargable batteries.”He’s a violator! He violated his parole!” Falino yelled inside the courtroom. “That’s all you can say? ‘Sorry’?”Falino exploded into tears outside the courthouse where she was comforted by Annette Presti, whose daughter and granddaughter were murdered in their Woburn home by a man who violated his probation.”When they violate a probation they need to be brought back to jail. Bottom line,” Presti told WFXT-TV. “We as the citizens are sick of it.”Canadyan was arrested in July 2007 but later fled to the Kahnawake Indian Reservation near Montreal, Canada where he had personal ties. He was arrested in September 2007 on a bus while trying to reenter the United States.
