REVERE – A 17-year-old Revere woman punched her mother in the face at least 20 times and attacked three other people – including an infant – during a particularly brutal domestic dispute inside a North Shore Road home Wednesday night, police said.Katelyn Hartford of 922 North Shore Road was arrested and charged with four counts of assault and battery, assault and battery on a child, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest shortly before 10 p.m.Officer Mark Desimone was first to arrive on the scene. He walked up to the home and was approached by the suspect’s mother, who immediately said, “You’re gonna need more cops. She’s out of control.”Desimone said in a police report that he went inside the home and observed Hartford repeatedly punching her younger sister. He intervened and was repeatedly punched and kicked by Hartford as well, police said. After several warnings, Desimone said he used pepper spray on Hartford. He was able to handcuff her but she continually kicked and resisted arrest, police said. Before officers arrived, family members said Hartford punched a family member who was holding an infant. During that time, Hartford allegedly punched the infant several times in the process, police said.At one point the person holding the infant tried to hide in another room with the door closed but Hartford allegedly busted in and continued assaulting that person.Hartford’s mother told police she was punched “at least 20 times” by her daughter, according to a police report.Family members indicated to police that Hartford may suffer from mental health problems and had been drinking and possibly using drugs before the attack.
