LYNN – State Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Suzanne M. Bump on Thursday will visit with unemployed workers in Lynn and tour classrooms for adult workforce training.Bump is expected to make an announcement related to government funding for workforce training. The funds will be channeled to the North Shore Workforce Investment Board (WIB), which in addition to Lynn includes Beverly, Danvers, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Lynnfield, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Peabody, Rockport, Salem, Saugus, Swampscott, Topsfield and Wenham.Bump will visit two in-session training classes at the North Shore Career Center, 181 Union St., starting at 11 a.m. After the tour she will present the information about the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds, according to Alison Harris, a spokeswoman for the state labor secretary.
