LYNN -Police continue to call on the public for help in finding the brown or gold Honda or Toyota sedan that struck Grove Street resident Michael Zarba last Friday.

The car sustained extensive front end damage after hitting Zarba at 6:37 a.m. as he was crossing Boston Street to Mall Street on his way to work.Lt. William Sharpe said police have received several anonymous sightings of the car. He urged anyone with information to call Sgt. Edward Shinnick, 781-477-4376.”The suspect vehicle is believed to have turned off of Boston Street after the collision and traveled either onto Rout 107 (Western Avenue) or Walnut Street,” Sharpe said.Zarba, 23, remains in critical condition in the intensive care ward at Massachusetts General Hospital.”He is fighting for his life and we are constantly praying for his recovery,” said Krystina Tejeda, Zarba’s older sister.Tejeda was at her job in Union Hospital last Friday when her brother was brought to the hospital before he was transported to MGH by helicopter. He works for Home Depot in Salem and his sister said he loves music and spending time with his friends and family. Zarba helped care for his two nieces and his nephew when Tejeda underwent cancer treatment.”He is a great brother. We are hoping that the heartless person that left my brother to die in the street will be brought to justice,” she said.
